Substation Flood Mitigation Project Details: Installation of 1,800 LF of 6 foot concrete wall around Energy Substation along with approximately 490 feet of Armorflex along the bank of the river that runs near the project. The project also included 2 Presray floodgates, temporary fence, and temporary fence grounding, storm drain improvements, erosion control, and the use of a 1,000 LF temporary flood wall for diversion of heavy flows during flood conditions prior to project completion.
- Site grading, erosion control, and site clearing
- Installation of 2 Presray floodgates
- Four storm drain structures
- 139 LF of 15" PVC storm drain with 2 post indicator valves
- 57 LF of 12" PVC storm drains
- Temporary fence and temporary fence grounding
- Two 24' wide chain link gates
- Grounding for barb wire and chain link fencing
- Foundation bearing improvements down to 10' deep for wall foundations
- Coordination of concrete wall pours with line outages in two low line areas
- Installation of 65' of foundation and wall in coordination with a power business outage
