Langston Construction recently held an invitation only Craft Skill Development Day for the company’s top performing craft workers. The training day began with a team building trust exercise, followed by a Pre-Job Brief (PJB) and Job Safety Task Analysis (JSTA). Once the training team established their training goals for the day, they were broken up into two groups, selected their team leaders, and began a sequence of activities that focused on Lean Construction techniques and tasks that focused on controlling efficiency and eliminating waste.
Langston Construction has made craft skill training and development a key strategic priority to increase individual knowledge and capabilities. Each Craft Skill Development Day will focus on leadership skills, flow efficiency and specific technical skill building.
